Dermot Roche


Dermot joined Ochre in November ‘16 as Group CEO. Dermot has worked in the healthcare sector for close to 10 years and has managed over 1,000 staff in Australia and New Zealand, including GPs, nurses, mental health professionals and a range of other allied health professionals.  In Ochre, Dermot’s core role is to lead overall strategic direction and ensure the track record of Ochre Health continues to grow through the provision of community healthcare services that are clinically safe, easy for patients and other customers to access and are operationally efficient.


Dr Ross Lamplugh

Co-Founder & Chairman

Ross is a co-founding owner of the Ochre Health Group, and is the Chairman of the Board. Ross brings 20 years of clinical and medical management experience to the company, which includes 10 years as a GP Anaesthetist in rural and remote Australian communities; Medical Superintendent for Palm Island Hospital; and Deputy Director of Medical Services at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Ross is actively involved in medical education and is a voluntary Director of APLS Courses. He currently sits on the Allied Health Professions – Rural and Remote Generalist Project Advisory Group for HWA, and has previously served as a Director of the NSW RDN and General Practice Training Tasmania. As Chairman, Ross continues to work actively with the Executive Team within the Ochre Health Group. He has a particular interest in new opportunities and in Ochre maintaining its high level of clinical service.


Dr Hamish Meldrum

Co-Founder & Director of Medical Services

Hamish is a co-founding owner of the Ochre Health Group, and is the Director of Medical Services. Hamish is a NZ medical graduate with experience in General Practice, Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics. Hamish worked in Bourke NSW for 5 years as a GP Obstetrician and since 2006 has been based in Sydney as the Director of Medical Services. Hamish is an examiner for the RACGP Fellowship exam. Hamish is involved with clinical governance, GP research, quality improvement, and clinical support for doctors in the Ochre Health Group.


Jason Keir

Chief Operating Officer

With close to 20 years’ experience in senior executive roles, Jason has spent the last decade in the healthcare sector building, growing and improving organisations systems, processes and people capabilities across telehealth, occupational medicine, allied health and specialist services areas.

As Chief Operating Officer for Ochre Health, Jason is responsible for the national management of medical centres and patient care, building ‘the Ochre Way’ – to ensure that our clinics are easy to access, friendly to deal with and operating efficiently, every time, every day.


Darren Compton

National Recruitment Manager

Darren has over 10 years’ experience in healthcare recruitment in the UK and Australia. Following the completion of his Bachelor of Science at Portsmouth University in 2003, Darren spent 8 years building and managing the Science and Medical Division for a major recruitment agency in England, before relocating to Sydney with his family in June 2012. Darren joined the Ochre Team in February 2013 and has been responsible for the implementation and management of an internal recruitment model and the ongoing development of marketing, workforce planning, orientation and retention strategies.
