Allied Health Services
The Ochre Health Foundation (OHF) is a not-for-profit company, established to aid rural communities' access to allied health services. These services are largely provided at no cost, notably to disabled, elderly or disadvantaged clients. Some of these services have been funded by the NSW Outback Division of General Practice and the Greater Western Area Health Service. The Ochre Health Group has also funded services and provides subsidised management services to the Foundation.
The OHF currently provides allied health services in the north-west towns of NSW and the south-west of QLD, including:
- Bourke
- Brewarrina
- Cobar
- Enngonia
- Weilmoringle
- Walgett
Our clinicians largely provide a fly-in, fly-out service, and conduct a range of outreach and locally based consults. The main office that coordinates these services is located in Bourke, NSW.
OHF provides the following allied health services:
- Occupational Therapy
- Dietary / Nutrition
- Psychology / Counselling
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Dentistry
The Ochre Health Foundation is proud to be a partner of the Brewarrina Rural & Remote Dental Project, which commenced in February 2009. The partnership includes the Brewarrina Shire Council, Griffith University and the Greater Western Area Health Service.
