Foundation
Objectives
The Ochre Health Foundation was established in 2005 as a not-for-profit entity, and its primary objective is to provide medical and allied health services to regional and remote communities to aid the prevention and control of diseases.
Governance
The Ochre Health Foundation is governed by a separate Board of Directors. The OHF is not owned by the Ochre Health Group as it is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Any surplus funds in the OHF must be applied to its constitutional purpose and be used to provide more health services.
The role of the Board is to ensure effective governance. It is charged with providing leadership, ensuring quality of services, developing strategy and policy, risk management, compliance with laws and funding agreements, maintaining industry relationships and financial monitoring.
