Scholarships for Rural Health Education 2015

Ochre Health through the Ochre Health Foundation is pleased to be offering 2 Rural Health Scholarships. For 2015 we are introducing the Indigenous Rural Health Education Scholarship.

The scholarships provide $2,000 to assist the successful applicants to cover costs related to their studies in health.

Ochre Health Foundation is a not for profit organisation that delivers allied health services and assists with the delivery of accessible health care to rural communities.

Ochre Health rural medical centres are in Barham, Boggabri, Bourke, Brewarrina, Collarenebri, Coonamble, Condobolin, Deniliquin, Grafton, Parkes NSW and Queenstown, Rosebery, Strahan and Zeehan TAS.

We are looking for students that completed their secondary schooling in one of these 14 towns and have been accepted or are currently completing a tertiary course in the health profession. Examples of health courses that would be eligible are Medicine; Dentistry or Dental Technician; Nursing (EN and RN); Aboriginal Health Worker, Allied Health (this includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Psychology, Speech Therapy, Exercise Physiology); and Optometry.
