RMA Conference 2017

Ochre Health has a strong and enduring connection with the rural health sector. Established in outback New South Wales in 2002, Ochre Health plays a vital and integral part in the provision of healthcare to rural communities across Australia. Now celebrating fifteen successful years in the sector, Ochre continues to flourish with over thirty medical centres located across five states and territories.

From the outset, Ochre Health has been an active participant in each annual Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) conference, greatly valuing the opportunity to talk face-to-face with rural generalists, general practitioners and medical professionals. Our recruitment consultants relish the chance the conference provides to discuss clinical staff vacancies, location preferences and specific needs with interested delegates. And we’ll absolutely be attending this year’s RMA conference, which is being held in Melbourne on 19th – 21st October 2017.

The RMA conference consistently coordinates engaging programs that are designed to educate and inform rural health professionals and always delivers an interesting variety of keynote speakers. Melbourne is promising more of this content, along with a full complement of exhibitors including Ochre Health. This year Ochre will also conduct a short presentation on improving value and outcomes in rural medicine, with a specific focus on Tasmania based on clinical data captured over the past five years. The presentation will be given by Dr. Molly Shorthouse, Dr. Dennis Pashen and Ochre Health founder, Dr, Hamish Meldrum.

The 2017 conference in Melbourne will also mark Ochre Health’s fifteen years in the rural health sector, against the backdrop of an RMA conference in its twentieth year. Darren Compton, Ochre Health’s National Recruitment and Retention Manager, recognizes that milestones like these deserve celebration. Darren along with his stellar team, will be attending the conference next month and has organised something special to mark both of these anniversaries. He warmly invites you to come and visit Booth 6, situated beside the Ochre Health sponsored coffee cart. Not only can you grab a free coffee and some celebratory cake to go with it –  but Darren and his team will be happy to discuss your best next career move with Ochre Health, a healthcare provider whose very roots are rural.
