Ochre Health Medical Centre Cohuna pride themselves on delivering quality care to the local Cohuna community. There is ample parking available, and an Amcal pharmacy just down the road in the central shopping district.

The doctors at the practice provide A 24 hour after hours doctor care service on a rotation basis. Please call 03 5456 2609 for after hours care. If it is an emergency please call 000.

Billing Type
Ochre Health is a mixed billing practice. Bulk billing is available at the discretion of the individual doctor and as a general guide, pensioners, and children under 16 years can be bulk billed. Please note that Healthcare cards are not accepted. Ask our friendly reception team for more details. Please also note, we have systems in place to process your Medicare rebate claims on the spot.

Dr Peter Barker (MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM) – General Practitioner
Dr Barker trained in Melbourne at the Monash University before heading to England where he worked in Coventry and Yorkshire.
A job that came up in Cohuna brought him back to Australia where Peter has worked ever since the age of 28.
Peter has provided care for the community in Cohuna for the past 30 years.
Special Interests: GP Anaesthesia, Procedural Obstetrics, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine and GP Education

Dr Ali Sheaar (MBBS) – General Practitioner
Dr Sheaar, originally from Iran, has 20 years of work experience.
He has worked in Cohuna as a General Practitioner for the past 6 years, following 15 years in working overseas.

Dr Narendra Rana  (MBBS) – General Practitioner
Dr Narendra has been at the Cohuna Clinic since 2013.
Narendra speaks Hindi and English Languages.
