Ochre Health is a mixed billing practice. Bulk billing is available at the discretion of the individual doctor and as a general guide, pensioners (over 65 years of age), health care card holders and children under 16 years can be bulk billed at certain times during the day. Please ask our friendly reception team for more details. Please also note, we have systems in place to process your Medicare rebate claims on the spot.
Dr David Heppell (MBChB, MRCGP, FRACGP) – Medical Coordinator/General Practitioner
Originally from the north of England, Dr Heppell has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast for 4 1/2 years. After graduating from the University of Medicine in Leeds, he spent 5 years in hospital specialities before commencing General Practice. David gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2001 and worked in Yorkshire for almost 10 years before emigrating to Australia.
Specialty interest Areas: Mens Health, Mental Health Issues, Skin Cancer removals.
Dr Heppell is available for appointments 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
Dr Karen Macmillan (MBChB, MRCGP, FRACGP, DRCOG, DFSRH) – General Practitioner
Dr Karen Macmillan originates from Scotland. She graduated from the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine in 2000 and then moved to the South of England where she completed her training in General Practice. Karen moved to Australia in 2014 with her partner and young son. They are fortunate to have family in the local area.
Specialty interest Areas: Womens’ Health, Skin cancer and Preventative Medicine.
Dr Macmillan is available for appointments 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday.
Dr Patricia Slegers (MD GP (the Netherlands) FACRRM) – General Practitioner
Dr Slegers trained in the Netherlands, where she worked as a GP for 25 years in a health care centre in Amsterdam. In Holland she specialized in end of life care. After coming to Australia in 2009 she worked in a variety of countries for International SOS. In 2012 she started working as a GP in Eumundi, where she attained her fellowship of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Specialty interests Areas: Women’s Health, Small Surgery, Mental Health and Palliative Care.

Dr Hoda Morris – General Practitioner
Dr Morris is originally from England, she has been working on the Sunshine Coast since 2010.She is a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK and the Royal Australian College of GP’s.
Specialty interest Areas: women’s health including IUD, mirena and implanons, children health, mental health issues and skin cancer checks.
Dr Morris is available for appointments 9.00am – 4.30pm Monday, Wednesday & Friday
and 8.30am-4.30pm Thursday.
Dr Stefanie Oedekoven
Stefanie originates from Germany. She graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 2006 and finished her dissertation in 2007. After obtaining her medical degree she practiced for several years in hospital specialties such as Surgery, Medicine and Emergency Medicine in Germany and Australia before her training led her into General Practice. With her husband and two little girls she moved back to Australia in early 2016 and is currently working towards gaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Katie Gardner (MBBS, MPH, DCH) – General Practitioner Registrar
Dr Gardner grew up in QLD and graduated from the Australian National University in 2008. She worked in Paediatrics in Australia and New Zealand for 4 years, after finishing medical school, and has since undertaken various jobs in Immigrant Health, Rural Paediatrics, and Emergency Medicine. Katie is an avid traveller but always loves returning to her home on the Sunshine Coast. She is currently completing her Fellowship through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

Dr Angela Irwin (MBBS, MRCP (UK) FRACGP) – General Practitioner
Originally from Northern Ireland, Dr Angela Irwin studied Medicine at the University of London, graduating in 1996. Angela completed her GP training in both London and Sydney and has been practicing as a GP for 10 years. Dr Irwin was admitted to the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) in 2007 and the Royal Australian College for General Practitioners in 2010. She has extensive experience in Adult and Children’s emergency medicine having worked in St Thomas’ hospital Emergency in London, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Sydney Children’s hospital. Angela enjoys running, cycling and Triathalon.
Specialty interests: paediatrics, skin cancer checks, sports injury, antenatal care and preventative health.

Eumundi is a small town with 1,700 residents in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in Queensland, Australia, 21 km south-west of Noosa Heads and 118 km north of the state capital, Brisbane. It is located just off the Bruce Highway. Nearby towns are Yandina and Cooroy.
Eumundi is very popular on the coast for its bi-weekly farmer’s markets. The marketplace is full of locally-made produce, which has made Eumundi and the surrounding area a haven for small businesses.
