Overview
Ochre Medical Centre Lithgow is located on Main Street between the Commonwealth Bank and St George Bank, with Hopes Pharmacy located conveniently across the road. Previously known as Lithgow Family Practice, this clinic is well established in the community and comes with a team of dedicated Doctors and staff. Ochre Medical Centre Lithgow is accepting new patients.

Billing Type
Ochre Health is a mixed billing practice. Bulk billing is available at the discretion of the individual doctor and as a general guide, pensioners (over 65 years of age), health care card holders and children under 16 years can be bulk billed at certain times during the day. Please ask our friendly reception team for more details. Please also note, we have systems in place to process your Medicare rebate claims on the spot.

Associate Professor John Dearin – General Practitioner (FRACGP, FACRRM, MBBS)
Dr John Dearin has worked in Lithgow since 2000 practicing  as a GP for the local community and a VMO for the hospital. He is also the Head Professor of Lithgow Clinical School providing education for Medical Students.
John won the ‘Local Legend’ Award in Lithgow for his contribution of medical practice to the area, and higher education from the Lithgow Clinical School.
Specialty Interests: General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics

Dr Kin Tan – General Practitioner (MBBS, FRACGP)
Kin graduated in 1989. He has worked in hospitals; Wollongong as an intern, then St Vincents and Malaysian hospital as a Medical Officer.
From 1994-2010 Kin practiced as a GP in Malaysia and then came to Lithgow in 2011.

Dr Sengordon Ramachandra – General Practitioner (MD)
Dr Ramachandra graduated in 1998 and has been practicing in the Australian medical field for more than 10 years, of which 7 years contributes to General Practice.
Sengordon speaks English, Tamil, Sinhalese and Russian.

Dr Victor Wu – General Practitioner (MBBS, MSc)
Dr Wu is a graduate of the University of Sydney Medical Program. He is originally from Canada and has done MSc in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University. He then obtained his registration as a medical practitioner in 2013 and has worked as a doctor throughout NSW. Victor started his career in general practice as a registrar in Glenorie and is now moving to Ochre Lithgow for the next term for his registrar placement.

Dr Karen Mathew – General Practitioner Registrar (MBBS)
Dr Mathew completed her MBBS at James Cook University in Townsville, QLD. Following this, she undertook her internship and residency at Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospital before going on to complete her extended skills training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
In her spare time, Dr Mathew enjoys travel, astronomy, baking and piano.
