Ochre Medical Centre Kingsthorpe is a country style general practice that prides itself on great customer service and whole-of-life, patient-centred care. Having completed a broad-range of advanced skills training and an interest in rural and regional medicine, our doctors provide care across the disciplines of advanced skin cancer medicine, aviation medicine, maternity and perinatal care, family planning including contraceptive implants, IUDs and vasectomies, paediatrics, mental health, emergency medicine, community based aged and palliative care.

Our team of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and reception staff are dedicated to providing compassionate, confidential and high quality health services. We aim to foster an enjoyable, fulfilling work environment for our staff based on a sense of mutual respect, teamwork and professionalism.

After Hours
In an emergency call 000. This practice has an agreement with the Oakey Health Service for patients requiring urgent afterhours medical attention to contact the Oakey Hospital on (07) 4691 4888.

Billing Type
Ochre Medical Centre Kingsthorpe is a mixed billing practice. Bulk billing is available at the discretion of the individual doctor. As a general guide, pensioners (over 65 years of age), health care card holders and children under 16 years are generally bulk billed. Please ask our friendly reception team for more details. Please also note that we have systems in place to process your Medicare rebate claims on the spot.

Dr Damian Webb (MBBS (HONS) FRACGP GCERTMED BBIOMEDSCI) – General Practitioner
Dr Damian Webb graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004. Dr Webb worked for three years in Miles as the Principal Doctor at the Hospital and as a General Practitioner before moving to Toowoomba where he has continued to work as a General Practitioner. Dr Webb began working at Downs Rural Medical, Kingsthorpe practice in 2013 and has a special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery, family practice, emergency medicine and palliative care. He also has a strong interest in medical education and training.
Specialty interest areas: Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine and Palliative Care.

Dr Pam Turnock OAM (MBBS FRACGP FACRRM DRANZCOG) – General Practitioner
Dr Pam Turnock moved to Toowoomba and joined the Downs Rural Medical team in 2018. Dr Turnock trained at the University of Queensland and spent her first few years working in Brisbane before moving to St George in western Queensland. She spent 34 years working in St George providing valuable medical services to the people of the town and surrounding areas. She loves hearing stories about people, spending time in her garden and with her grandchildren.
Specialty interest areas: General Practice.

Dr Liam Flynn graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009. Dr Flynn is a Rural Generalist doctor who enjoys providing care throughout the full course of life. He has a particular interest in rural and remote medicine and providing care to rural communities.

Dr Flynn has completed advanced skills training in both anaesthetics and paediatrics and has completed a Diploma of Obstetrics. When not working with Ochre, Dr Flynn also works for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and as a medical educator for Queensland Rural Medical Education.
Specialty interest areas: antenatal and postnatal care and paediatrics.

Dr Robin Yong (MBBS B.ACC BSC(HONS) MAED) – General Practitioner
Dr Robin Yong attended The University of Queensland where he completed his medical degree in 2014. Prior to joining the team in 2016 to complete his fellow of General Practice, he worked at the Toowoomba Hospital. Dr Yong has also had previous experience working as a college lecturer and teacher.
Specialty interest areas: General Practice.

Dr Eriko Yamashita (MD B.PHARM) – General Practitioner
Dr Yamashita joined the team in 2017. She completed her Medical Degree at Griffith University in 2014. Dr Yamashita spent two years working at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and spent time in the areas of Mental Health, Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Colorctal Surgery, and Paediatrics. She has completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has previously done Country Relieving in Murgon and Cherbourg Hospitals.

Dr Yamahita is currently working towards a Master of Medicine specialising in Skin Cancer Medicine.
Specialty interest areas: Women’s health, Paediatrics and Dermatology.

Dr Amith Mammoottil (MBBS) – General Practitioner  (Registrar)
Dr Mammoottil completed his medical training in India before moving to Australia to complete hospital rotations in Brisbane, Canberra, Hervey Bay and Perth. He has chosen his rotations to provide the breadth of experience required for GP work; they have included surgery, urology, orthopaedics, and emergency. He joins the practice as a Registrar, and is keen to work in a practice where he can learn from GPs with many years of experience. Dr Mammoottil has a young family and was attracted to Toowoomba due to its lifestyle and good educational opportunities.

Dr Janusz (Jan) Krepski (MMBS) – General Practitioner (Registrar)
Dr Krepski completed his medical degree in 2012 at Barts in London and moved to Australia following a stint working in the Isle of Man. During his GP training he completed diverse rotations including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, ear nose & throat and neurology in a bid to broaden his horizons. He finds the complex health needs involved in elder care interesting and enjoys seeing how a small change can lead to a significant lifestyle improvement.
